Alan is a Partner in the Sydney office of Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), where he is part of the WFW SAF and Global Aerospace and Defense Teams. Its sustainable aviation expertise includes acting as sole legal advisor on the development and launch of the Pegasus Guidelines, the first-of-its-kind framework for banks to independently measure and disclose their aviation lending portfolios’ emissions.
With over 20 years of experience across Asia-Pacific, including 13 years based in Bangkok, Alan brings unparalleled regional depth in advising clients on contentious, finance, and regulatory transport matters. Alan is at the forefront of legal advisory in the SAF space, working with airlines and other transport sector stakeholders on sustainability, SAF, carbon trading compliance and litigation, and ESG-related regulatory issues. In 2022, he was inducted into Legal 500's Asia-Pacific 'Hall of Fame' for his outstanding contributions to the transport sector, a recognition that speaks to both his expertise and his standing in the industry.
