  • The honorarium is inclusive of all travel, hotel accommodation and local transport

  • These commercial terms apply to non-members and non-partners only. See section 10 for member exemptions

2. Definition of a “Day”

For billing purposes, a “day” is defined as any calendar day during which an ASAFA representative is engaged in event-related activities, including travel or presentation.

  • Same-day local presentation count as one day

  • Multi-day events requiring ASAFA attendance across consecutive days are billed at USD 1,000 per day

  • Short virtual briefings or reasonable preparation before the event are included in the day rate and not billed separately

Illustrative examples

  • 1-day Singapore event
    Honorarium = 1 × USD 1,000 = USD 1,000

  • 2-day overseas summit with travel the day before and return the day after
    Honorarium = 3 × USD 1,000 = USD 3,000

3. Scope of ASAFA Contribution

ASAFA will provide one speaker who will:

  • Deliver a prepared presentation of up to 45 minutes, or

  • Participate in a panel session of up to 60 minutes including reasonable Q&A

Additional sessions or extended formats require separate agreement.

  • Access to event recording with reuse rights for ASAFA

5. Travel and Accommodation

  • All air travel and local transport for the ASAFA representative are included within the USD 1,000 per day honorarium. Hotel accommodation is excluded and must be provided by the organiser at the official event venue (or a directly connected venue agreed by ASAFA).

  • The organiser is not required to make separate travel or hotel bookings unless mutually agreed in writing.

  • ASAFA will confirm travel arrangements only after written agreement of terms

  • For earlier cancellations, both parties will work in good faith to reschedule

8. Tax and Payment

  • The honorarium is exclusive of any applicable withholding or similar taxes

  • If local taxes apply, the organiser must gross-up the payment so ASAFA receives the full net amount

  • Payment must be made 100 percent in advance, no later than 21 days before the event date

  • An invoice will be issued upon confirmation of ASAFA’s participation

  • All bank charges and transfer fees are borne by the organiser

10. Exemption for ASAFA Members and Partners

Such engagements follow member collaboration terms rather than standard speaking fees.
