Ms. Nihad Kasraoui

Nihad Kasraoui is Head of Process Engineering at Metafuels AG in Switzerland, where she leads the development and scale-up of innovative technologies for the production of sustainable aviation fuels. Metafuels focuses on converting green methanol into sustainable drop-in fuels, supporting the global energy transition and the decarbonisation of the aviation sector.

She holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and an Executive Master in Energy Management from IFP School (France) and BI Norwegian Business School. She is currently pursuing a PhD in emerging energy technologies, further strengthening her expertise at the intersection of technology, innovation, and sustainability.

Nihad began her career in the Corporate Technology Department at Moeve (formerly Cepsa) in Spain. She later expanded her international experience at Mubadala Investment Company in the United Arab Emirates. Throughout her career, she has contributed to the execution and development of projects across refining, petrochemicals, and new energy technologies, with particular expertise in aviation fuels.

She also holds professional certifications in Project Management (PMI) and SIS Functional Safety from TÜV Rheinland, combining strong technical depth with structured project and safety expertise.
Beyond her professional work, Nihad is passionate about reading, hiking, and actively engaging in initiatives that support and empower women.
