SAF Certificates: A Practical Introduction

Co-organised by ASAFA and the Business Environment Council (BEC) in partnership with the Hong Kong SAF Coalition (HKSAFC), this half-day workshop offers a grounded introduction to SAF certificate (SAFc) markets for corporate sustainability and procurement teams.

The programme covers the current landscape of international SAFc frameworks:RSB Book & Claim, the IATA SAF Registry, the WEF/RMI model  and how SAFc fits within corporate sustainability reporting under GHG Protocol Scope 3 and SBTi transport sector guidance. Corporate speakers with active SAFc programmes share their experience directly, followed by structured discussion on the real procurement blockers: registry fragmentation, additionality questions, pricing opacity, and evolving accounting standards.

The session closes with a look at AnchorTrace, China's emerging SAFc platform, and what regional scheme convergence could mean for Asia-Pacific corporates.
