About the event

Did you know that the world’s largest Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) refinery is right here in Singapore? Operated by Finnish energy company Neste in Tuas, the facility transforms used cooking oil—from your favorite French fries and tempura—into cleaner jet fuel. With the Singapore government mandating that every departing flight from Changi Airport use at least 1% SAF from 2026, the country is at the forefront of the global aviation energy transition.

Join HCS board member Sandy Yeung (ALM 2020) and ASAFA CEO and co-founder Fabrice Espinosa on 12 March 2026 for an enlightening session that explores how everyday waste can power the skies, what SAF means for the future of travel, and how innovation and policy are working hand in hand to make aviation more sustainable.

A must-attend for avid travellers, environmental enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the science and strategy behind a greener future for global mobility.
