About the event

The aviation sector accounts for over 2% of global CO₂ emissions, and with air travel demand expected to grow, the need for effective decarbonization strategies has never been more urgent. Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) offer a sustainable solution, with the potential to reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions and decarbonize the aviation sector. SAF production volumes doubled to 1 million tonnes in 2024, but this accounts for only 0.3% of global jet fuel production. This webinar, organized by World Bioenergy Association in collaboration with the Asia SAF Association (ASAFA), will bring together experts and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements in SAF production, adoption, and policy support. We’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities of scaling SAF, its role in achieving net-zero aviation, and the critical steps needed to drive global adoption.
