On 22 September 2025, Mr. Natee Sitthiprasat, Chairman of the Renewable Energy Industry Club, Federation of Thai Industries, signed a cooperation agreement to jointly organise the ASAFA IPS Thailand event with the Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA), represented by Mr. Fabrice Espinosa, Founder & CEO.

The ASAFA Innovation & Policy Symposium (IPS) is a flagship series held across multiple countries including Japan, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. The event facilitates knowledge exchange and policy dialogue on national Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) frameworks and strategies.

Through this collaboration, ASEAN countries can better align on SAF policy trajectories, share best practices, and foster multi-stakeholder engagement in advancing aviation decarbonisation.

IPS Thailand 2025 Outcomes

• Advanced discussions on Thailand’s SAF policy roadmap and regional harmonisation.

• Strengthened engagement on feedstock mobilization, certification, and supply chain readiness.

• Connected SAF project developers with global investors and financial institutions.

• Created actionable recommendations on technology deployment, from HEFA and AtJ to PtL/eSAF.

Looking Ahead: IPS Thailand 2026

Following the success of 2025, ASAFA and FTI are proud to announce that the next IPS Thailand will take place in June 2026 in Bangkok.

IPS Thailand 2026 will further:

• Deepen cross-border regulatory and policy dialogue in ASEAN.

• Showcase new SAF investment opportunities in Thailand and the wider region.

• Highlight emerging SAF technologies and their integration into global aviation decarbonisation strategies.
