ASAFA and Island Skies Alliance Sign Partnership Agreement to Advance SAF in the Philippines

Singapore, 29 June 2026 – The Asia SAF Association (ASAFA) and Island Skies Alliance (ISA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalise a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the Philippines.

The partnership brings together ASAFA's regional expertise across SAF policy, sustainability certification, and industry education, with ISA's established role as a key dialogue partner for industry stakeholders in the Philippines. Together, the two organisations will work to strengthen knowledge exchange and align regional efforts on SAF development.

"The Philippines is one of Asia's most dynamic aviation markets, and its SAF journey deserves serious, coordinated support," said Fabrice Espinosa, CEO of ASAFA. "ISA has built something genuinely valuable in a short time: a credible platform that connects government, industry, and investors around a shared agenda. We are glad to be working alongside them."

"Partnering with ASAFA opens new doors for the Philippines as we work to build a sustainable aviation sector fit for the future," said Junard J. Cruz, CEO of Island Skies Alliance. "ISA strives to align with the larger Asian and ASEAN context, and their reach across Asia and their depth of expertise in SAF policy will be a tremendous asset as we continue to drive progress at home."
