Essar Future Energy joins ASAFA to advance SAF adoption in Asia-Pacific

Singapore, 21 April 2026 – Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA) is pleased to welcome Essar Future Energy (EFE), a leading Indian sustainable fuels producer, as its newest member.

EFE is building India's first commercial-scale bio-refinery complex in Gujarat. The facility is designed to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) using advanced HEFA technology, with expected production of 0.8 million tonnes of low-carbon fuels annually. These efforts reflect EFE's commitment to supporting India's aviation decarbonization goals and broader regional net-zero strategies.
