Singapore, 8 April 2026 - Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA) is pleased to announce that SkyNRG, a founding member and global expert in sustainable aviation fuel, has upgraded its membership to silver level, deepening its commitment to advancing SAF adoption across the Asia-Pacific region.
With over 15 years of experience in sourcing, supplying, and producing high-integrity SAF, the company has supplied more than 60 airlines and 75 corporates across seven continents, and is now developing its own dedicated SAF production capacity, to support its global supply chain network.
Fabrice Espinosa, Founder & CEO of ASAFA, shared "We are thrilled to see SkyNRG, one of our pioneer members, upgrade to silver membership. Their enhanced commitment to ASAFA comes at a critical time for regional SAF development and demonstrates confidence in the Asia-Pacific market's growth potential. With recent financial milestones including €250 million from APG and successful financial close for DSL-01, SkyNRG is positioned to support the aviation industry's net-zero goals. "
“Upgrading our membership with ASAFA reflects SkyNRG’s long-term commitment to accelerating SAF adoption in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Oskar Meijerink, Head of Corporate Development at SkyNRG. “The region plays a critical role in scaling sustainable aviation, and collaboration across the value chain is essential to unlock supply, demand, and investment. Through partnerships like ASAFA, we aim to support market development while enabling airlines and corporates to take credible action toward reducing aviation emissions.”
The company is developing multiple dedicated production facilities including DSL-01 in Delfzijl, Netherlands, which recently achieved Final Investment Decision (FID) and will produce 100,000 tonnes per year. Additional projects include Project Wigeon in the Pacific Northwest with Boeing, and Project SkyKraft in Northern Sweden (utilizing e-SAF technology with green hydrogen and biogenic CO₂). These production initiatives strengthen regional and global supply-chain resilience.
As part of this strengthened commitment, ASAFA acquired SAF certificates (SAFc) from SkyNRG through the RMI SAFc registry to reduce its business travel emissions, demonstrating how simple and credible SAFc procurement can be. This forms a core reason for SkyNRG joining ASAFA – to continue its role as a market maker for SAFc and support decarbonization of aviation-related Scope 3 emissions such as business travel and air freight for corporates the world over. SkyNRG's mission to change the future of flying by producing and supplying high-integrity SAF complements ongoing efforts across the Asia-Pacific region to promote aviation decarbonization, circular feedstock sourcing, and scalable low-carbon fuel infrastructure.
