Singapore, 25 February 2026 – Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA) is pleased to welcome Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, a leading Thai energy company, as its newest gold member.

With over four decades of refining experience and over 20 years of pioneering renewable energy in Thailand, Bangchak is at the forefront of the aviation decarbonization movement. The company has successfully launched Thailand's first fully integrated SAF production facility at its Bangchak Phra Khanong Refinery, utilizing advanced HEFA technology. These efforts reflect Bangchak's commitment to supporting Thailand's aviation decarbonization goals and broader regional net-zero strategies.

Fabrice Espinosa, Founder & CEO of ASAFA, shared, "We are delighted to have Bangchak join ASAFA as a gold member. Their groundbreaking SAF facility in Bangkok represents a major milestone for Southeast Asia's sustainable aviation sector. As Thailand's first commercial-scale neat SAF producer, Bangchak brings invaluable expertise in feedstock collection, HEFA technology deployment, and community engagement that will be instrumental in scaling SAF adoption across the APAC region."

Bundit Hansapaiboon, Acting President, Refinery and Marketing Business Group, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, said, “Joining ASAFA reflects Bangchak’s commitment to supporting the development of a robust SAF ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region. Through our experience in refining, biofuels, and feedstock management, we aim to contribute practical insights on scaling SAF in a commercially viable manner, while working with partners to strengthen supply chains, standards, and regional cooperation.”

Bangchak's integrated operations provide a strong foundation for the commercialization of SAF. The company's innovative "Fry to Fly" campaign collects used cooking oil at over 2,000 service stations nationwide. This community-based feedstock approach strengthens regional supply-chain resilience and supports the development of bankable, sustainable fuel infrastructure.

Bangchak's participation in ASAFA aligns with its corporate commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse-gas emissions by 2050 under its BCP NET plan. The company's SAF production and circular economy initiatives complement ongoing work across Thailand and the wider Asia-Pacific region to promote clean energy, circular resources, and low-carbon mobility.
